It is commonplace for those with eating disorders to become dependent on laxatives, diuretics and emetics to purge their bodies of food.
An addiction to social media accounts can have a significant negative impact on body image and dieting habits, feeding this dependency.
The artist has hand stitched hashtags taken from these accounts and placed them inside empty pill capsules which spill out from a medicine cup.
Eating disorders are serious, life-threatening mental and physical health illnesses requiring professional intervention.
